/ Delivering Certified FD30 Timber Fire Doors for Residential Housing
Hurst Joinery Projects has supplied almost 2,000 Q-Mark certified AynsleyFire FD30 fire door sets as part of a large-scale residential upgrade for a contractor managing 26,000 council properties.
Hurst initially provided composite entrance doors and FD30-rated composite fire doors, before being commissioned to supply internal timber fire doors for kitchens and store cupboards, as well as factory-finished entrance and service cupboard doors.
Internal fire door sets were manufactured with softwood frames and GDC door leaves, featuring hardwood lipping and a primed finish ready for on-site painting. Entrance doors were supplied in hardwood frames with clear lacquered Oak veneers and factory-applied Satin White finishes. Ironmongery options included electric strikes for access control and free swing closers linked to fire alarm systems.
/ The Result
All door sets were manufactured in line with Q-Mark field of application reports, with full compliance across glazing, intumescent protection, leaf sizes, and hardware. This project demonstrates our ability to deliver fully certified, specification-led fire door solutions at scale.
